After a 2-2 series draw in the highly-anticipated five-match Test series against England in the United Kingdom, followed by a 2-0 series clean sweep against West Indies at home, the Indian cricket team
will look to continue their good run at home in the upcoming two-match Test series against South Africa, who are the reigning champions of the World Test Championship. While the series proves crucial with the WTC 2025-27 cycle, it also stands a special touch.
With the first Test set to be played from November 14 to 18 at the iconic Eden Gardens in Kolkata, making a return of red-ball cricket after six years, the India versus South Africa match also has history associated with it. As a result, the Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) has introduced a special coin for the game.
