LeBron James recently hit the headlines for his retirement rumours but amidst these developments, the 40-year-old has exhibited his affection for his son Bronny James, who turned 21 on October 6. LeBron and his spouse Savannah James had their first child in 2004. James was only 19 then. Currently, Bronny is a professional basketball player for the Los Angeles Lakers of the National Basketball Association (NBA). In 2024, the youngster was picked up by the Lakers in the second round of the NBA draft. In the history of the NBA, LeBron and Bronny are the first and only active father-son duo.

LA Lakers lost their pre-season games
The 2025-26 NBA season will start from October 21 and LA Lakersplayed a couple of pre-season matches. They lost to the Phoenix Suns and Golden State Warriors. LeBron couldn’t appear in the pre-season matches due to an irritation in his glute. Lakers will play another four warm-up matches before they kick off their season on October 21 against the Golden State Warriors.
LA’s next pre-season contest is against the Golden State Warriors on October 12. Lakers are not the favourites to qualify for the NBA Finals but James will hope that he can help his side in one of his final seasons.
