In pursuit of the 172-run target in the Asia Cup 2025 Super 4 round, Indian opener Abhishek Sharma hit a massive six on the bowling of Pakistan fast bowler Shaheen Afridi before he apparently had a few choice words for him, which can easily be interpreted as a fight between the two. It was a short ball from Shaheen Afridi, directed towards the head of Abhishek Sharma, on which he reacted very quickly and pulled it over the deep fine leg region for a maximum at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium.
Abhishek Sharma is known to take the attack to the opposition bowling from the very first ball of his innings, but to do it in back-to-back matches against Pakistan’s spearhead Shaheen Afridi is a sight to behold. If the left-handed batter stays
at the crease for any length of time, then Pakistan’s 171/5 total could look a lot smaller for India than it actually is.
