With Rinku Singh’s winning stroke against Haris Rauf in the final over of the Asia Cup 2025, India added another continental trophy to their cabinet. Chasing the target of 147 against Pakistan, India witnessed the heroics of their stalwarts Tilak Varma and Kuldeep Yadav. In the first innings, Kuldeep displayed his bowling brilliance and took a four-wicket haul to help his side fold Pakistan on 147 in 19.1 overs. However, despite the sensational performance, India saw themselves under immense trouble when they lost three wickets on 20 runs in four overs. However, Tilak displayed his composure and took India home with his unbeaten 69 off 53.
On one side, Indialooked jubilant after their success while on the other hand, Pakistan captain Salman Ali
Agha looked upset and angrily threw away the runners-up cheque which he received from ACC and PCB President Mohsin Naqvi. Salman looked visibly frustrated as he not only failed the chance to become the third Pakistan captain to win the Asia Cup but also looked ordinary as a batter. The 31-year-old played seven contests and scored only 72 runs at an egregious average of 12.00.
