Former captain Rohit Sharma turned out to be a star performer for India in the recently ended ODI series against Australia down under. Although India lost the series by 1-2, Rohit won the Player of the series award
by finishing as highest run scorer of the series with 202 runs in three matches. He scored a match-winning 121*(125) runs in the final ODI in Sydney as India prevented a series white-wash.
Ahead of the series, Rohit Sharma stunned everyone as he went on to lose 10 kilos from his body weight in three months. This also turned out to be beneficial for the 38-year-old as he ended up becoming the best batter in the series down under. However, former Indian assistant coach, Abhishek Nayar, who witnessed Rohit’s weight transformation closely, revealed that the star Indian opener will shed a few more kilos before taking the field for India next time.
"Three months of hard work, not eating his favourite food, training hard - maybe you will see a few more kilos down when we see him play next time," Abhishek said in his conversation with JioStar after the third ODI in Sydney.
Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli to be seen in action vs South Africa

Now, both Kohli and Rohit are likely to be seen in action again for the upcoming home ODI series against South Africa.
India are scheduled to host the Proteas for an all-format series starting on November 14. The series will include two Test matches, three ODIs and five T20Is. The ODI series will start on November 30 which will mark the return of Kohli and Rohit on the field for Men in Blue.
