Days after winning the Asia Cup 2025, the Indian cricket team will host West Indies in a two-match Test series, starting from October 2, 2025. While the first Test will be played from October 2 to 6 at the Narendra
Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, the two teams will then travel to Delhi where the Arun Jaitley Stadium will host the second Test from October 10 to 14.
With just two days to separate Asia Cup and the West Indies series, the Men in Blue wasted no time as they returned to the field for practice session. The Indian Test squad assembled in Ahmedabad just hours after their victory and were involved in a training session.
Bumrah, Axar Patel, Kuldeep Yadav miss training session as other players hit the ground ahead of WI Tests
The Shubman Gill-led Indian team indulged in three-hour practice session, but stalwarts like Jasprit Bumrah, chinaman Kuldeep Yadav and all-rounder Axar Patel were notable absentees. While they remained on the sidelines, other players including captain Shubman Gill were on the field, alongside Mohammed Siraj, Yashasvi Jaiswal, KL Rahul.
While Siraj, and Prasidh Krishna are fresh off their India A outing against Australia A in Lucknow, they were seen bowling straight for 45 minutes. Jasiwal, KL Rahul and Dhruv Jurel also joined them in the net session after a brilliant performance in the India A game.
