Team India emerged triumphant in the Asia Cup 2025 but didn’t get the iconic trophy from the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) and PCB President Mohsin Naqvi. Team India players refused to receive the trophy from Naqvi following
which the PCB President took it back. However, India players’ joy didn’t diminish as they looked ecstatic and celebrated the victory. Shubman Gill and Abhishek Sharma posed together for a picture in which an edited version of the trophy can be seen. Similarly, veteran Hardik Pandya, who didn't feature in India’s playing XI, also posed on the ground with the same trophy graphics.
In a recent development, Shivam Dube has also celebrated India’s majestic title triumph with his wife and friends. Taking to Instagram, Dube posted a clip in which he can be seen emulating Rohit Sharma’s famous T20 World Cup 2024 celebration and lifting a trophy replica. Dube’s spouse and friends can be seen jumping in joy. Earlier, Tilak Varma also did a similar kind of celebration with his friends.
Tilak Varma honoured by Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy
Tilak Varma, who shone with his bat in the final against Pakistan, was honoured by Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy. Taking to Instagram, Varma posted his picture with Revanth and wrote, “It was an honor to meet you and spend time with you @revanthofficial sir 🙏 thank you for being such a gracious host to us. In the high-octane final, when India saw themselves under immense trouble after losing three batters at a score of 20, Tilak stepped up and played an unbeaten 69-run knock off 53 balls to take India home with five wickets. Shivam Dube also made a vital contribution of 33 runs off 22 deliveries.
