Vaibhav Suryavanshi made history by becoming the third fastest Indian to a T20 hundred, getting to the milestone number in just 42 balls for India A at the expense of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in the second
match of the Asia Cup Rising Stars T20 tournament from Group B. The fortunate fans in attendance at the West End Park International Cricket Stadium in Doha, Qatar, saw the 14-year-old left-handed batter score 144 off just 42 with 11 fours and 15 sixes, to help his team reach 297/4 in their allotted 20 overs.
After Jitesh Sharma won the toss and decided to bat first, Vaibhav Suryavanshi took down all the bowlers of the UAE one after another, to first reach his fifty in just 17 balls before registering three figures to his name. He was especially severe on left-arm spinner Harshit Kaushik, hitting four sixes in a row before a four prior to losing his wicket to Muhammad Faraazuddin in his attempt to get closer to 150.

The fiery innings from Vaibhav Suryavanshi, backed up by India A captain Jitesh Sharma with his unbeaten 83 off 32 with eight fours and six, to take his team within touching distance of 300-run total. Naman Dhir also played his part in the India A innings in the first half of their batting effort, scoring 34 off 23 with three fours and two sixes in a partnership of 163 runs for the second wicket in just under 10 overs at the West End Park International Cricket Stadium.
