India might have qualified for the Super 4s for the Men’s Asia Cup 2025, but the talks around their last group stage fixture, which saw them defeat Pakistan by seven wickets, continues to be the most talked about event. While the match saw Team India snub handshakes with their counterparts, forcing PCB to take several tough calls.
Among all the incidents, one which caught the attention of several was a goof-up by the DJ during the national anthem. During the match six of the Asia Cup 2025, the pre-match national anthem ceremony was disrupted as the DJ mistakenly played Tesher and Jason Derulo’s popular track ‘Jalebi Baby’. However, it was played only for close to six seconds, but was enough to spark an outrage.

The popular music artist first took
to Instagram story and wrote, “Shout out to the sound guy for messing up the anthem and making this an absolutely hilarious day for me. Accidents happen to the best of us, God bless u whoever you are.” The renowned artist further shared a video clip with a caption, “Jalebi Baby is always the right anthem”, where he remarked, “When I said Jalebi Baby was an anthem, this is not what I had in mind.”
While the national anthem goof-up generated widespread attention, the handshake row had a massive response. Speaking of the two teams, India with two win in as many games have already confirmed their Super 4s berth, whereas Pakistan sit at second place with one win and one defeat. They are followed by UAE, who have also registered a win, whereas Oman have been officially knocked out of the tournament with one game remaining.
