After last playing a T20I against Pakistan last year in T20 World Cup, the Indian team continued their domination, registering a seven-wicket win.
The match was more than a game of cricket with it being marred with several controversies. The evening on Sunday was full of drama with the Indian team snubbing handshake, taking it towards political aspects as they even dedicated the victory to the victims of the Pahalgam terror attacks.

could once again face each other as the Asia Cup 2025 progresses further. With the Indian team adding two more points to their name and consolidating their position at the top of the Group A standings, they are sure to progress into the Super 4s.
On the other hand, Pakistan are placed just below them at second place with one win and a game still left for them. If they beat UAE in their final game, Pakistan will qualify for Super 4s as A2 team. In this scenario, India and Pakistan could next face each other in the Super 4s on Sunday, September 21. And if both teams progress further, they could even lock horns once again in the final, which is scheduled to be played on September 28 in Dubai.
