While the Indian team is currently locking horns with West Indies in a two-match Test series across Ahmedabad and Delhi, star Indian wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant continues to recover from a fractured
foot, which he sustained during the England tour. Pant, who last featured in the fourth Test of the five-match Test series against England, suffered a blow on his foot and was eventually ruled out of the fifth Test.
However, he was earlier expected to be fit in six weeks, but has been out for an elongated period, thus missing the Test series against West Indies as well as India’s Asia Cup 2025 title winning campaign. While the wicketkeeper-batter has been ousted from the upcoming Australia tour, he seems to be making most of his recovery.
Rishabh Pant hits bullseye in first attempt at archery; video goes viral
In the latest turn of events, after trying his hands at golf a couple of days ago, Pant was seen trying his hands on archery. In a video posted on his official Instagram account, in which he wrote, “Not bad for the first try”, the 27-year-old can be seen aiming at a target.
While he missed a few chances, what surprised the fans was Pant calling out “bullseye” before he let the arrow leave the bow. Notably, on October 11, Pant also shared a snippet of his recovery at the Board of Control for Cricket in India’s (BCCI) Centre of Excellence, where he had trained hard. In the clip, he was heard saying, “Got me in the corner there, but I came out with flying colours.”
This comes as Pant nears his return to the field. According to several reports, Pant is set to make his comeback in Delhi’s Ranji Trophy match, however, it would be subject to his fitness clearance. “Pant has said he should be available for the Ranji Trophy matches in Delhi from October 25,” a source told TOI.
