The BCCIhas finally announced the squad for the upcoming home Test series against West Indies starting on October 2nd. Star batter Shubman Gill is set to return as captain of the Indian Test side. However, star wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant, who was appointed as vice-captain for the England tour, hasn’t been included in the squad for the West Indies Tests.
Notably, Rishabh Pant suffered a painful injury on his toe while batting during the England series and was advised to take a six week rest. Now, the fans are waiting for Pant’s return on the crease as he has been a crucial player for India in the Test format and and is also in the leadership roles in red-ball
cricket. Chief Selector Ajit Agarkar finally provided an update about Pant’s return in Test cricket.
