After 18 days of the competition in theAsia Cup 2025, arch-rivals Team India and Pakistan will face each other in the final of the tournament, to be played in Dubai on September 28. India have played Pakistan twice in this competition and emerged victorious on both occasions. India qualified for the final without any hassle after beating Pakistan and Bangladesh. On the other hand, the Green Army had to work hard to reach the final. Suryakumar Yadav and his men have dominated the tournament thus far and they will look to be at their best again in the final. Before the high-octane match is only a day away, SportsTiger has come up with India’s probable XI.
India’s probable XI for the Asia Cup 2025 final
1. Openers: Abhishek Sharma and Shubman Gill
Abhishek Sharma has looked extraordinary in this
competition. The southpaw became a headache for Pakistan’s bowling attack in their couple of defeats against India. He will look to be at his best in the final again. Shubman Gill hasn’t performed as per his reputation. He will be expected to support in-form Abhishek to help India get a superb start in the crucial contest.
2. Middle-order batters: Suryakumar Yadav, Tilak Varma, and Sanju Samson
Captain Suryakumar Yadav has also struggled to be among the runs in this tournament but in the final, he will look to lead the side from the front. Tilak Varma has done his job efficiently so far and the Indian management will want him to maintain his form against the Men in Green. Sanju Samson’s job will be to play a swift knock while batting in the middle-order
3. All-rounders: Hardik Pandya, Shivam Dube, and Axar Patel
Hardik Pandya and Shivam Dube will have to support Jasprit Bumrah to bolster India’s fast-bowling attack. As batters, their responsibility will be to deliver a match-finishing knock to the side with their hard-hitting potential. Axar Patel, along with Varun Chakaravarthy and Kuldeep Yadav, will be expected to decimate Pakistan’s batting-unit.
4. Bowlers: Jasprit Bumrah, Kuldeep Yadav, and Varun Chakaravarthy
Veteran Jasprit Bumrah hasn’t been at his best so far in the competition but he is the man of big matches. The speedster will endeavour to dominate Pakistan’s batting unit in the final. Kuldeep Yadav and Varun Chakaravarthy have troubled Pakistan a lot in this tournament and they will strive to do the same in the final.
