Indian stars players Shubman Gill, Ravindra Jadeja, and KL Rahul are going to participate in the Vijay Hazare Trophy early January, which will be getting them ready for the three-match ODI series against New Zealand next month. SportsTiger reports that these players have already notified their state associations regarding their participation in the VHT as a way of honouring their mandatory domestic commitments.
Panjab will be facing off Sikkim and Goa with Gill being part of the squad, which are scheduled to take place in Jaipur on January 3 and 6. The next two matches will see Gill, who is the captain for Test and ODI, most likely playing for Punjab. After that, he would have to leave the state team and go to the national squad which is expected
to assemble in Baroda ahead of the first ODI against New Zealand on January 11.
Ravindra Jadeja has also communicated to the Saurashtra Cricket Association (SCA) his taking part in the matches against Services and Gujarat on 6th and 8th January. Out of three matches, Saurashtra have won one and are placed sixth in the eight-team group.
The Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA) could not determine which matches Rahul is going to take a part in, but, as per the reports of Cricbuzz, there is a strong probability that he will be involved in the matches on January 3 and 6 against Tripura and Rajasthan.
Kohli has already played two matches and is likely expected to play in the January 6. Yashasvi Jaiswal could also feature in a match for Mumbai while Rohit Sharma’s next assignment will be the ODI series against New Zealand and he is not going to play anymore Vijay Hazare Trophy matches before it.
