During the rain-interrupted match 28th of the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup (CWC) 2025
at the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai, Indian fielder Radha Yadav pulled off a sensational run out of Bangladesh captain Nigar Sultana Joty with a direct hit. In the 27 overs a side contest, Radha Yadav, who came into the Indian lineup as one of three replacements, showed how she is amongst some of the best fielders in the world in women’s cricket.In the 17th over of the Bangladesh innings, Amanjot Kaur bowled a shorter length delivery outside the off stump, which Sharmin Akhter hit straight towards the point region where Radha Yadav was stationed. At the non-striker’s end, Nigar Sultana Joty took off with an eye on taking a single but Yadav was alert to her movements
at point region and after collecting the ball, she aimed at the stumps and found the bullseye.

Following the appeal from the Indian players, the on-field umpire sent the decision to the third umpire, who found that the Bangladesh captain was out of the crease when the throw from Radha Yadav found the stumps. It led to the decision of out being confirmed on the giant screen inside the stadium, which meant that Nigar Sultana Joty had to walk back to the pavilion with just nine runs to her name in 24 balls without any boundaries.
As of this writing, Bangladesh have reached 73/3 in 20 overs with Sharmin Akhter (27* off 44) and Sobhana Mostary (14* off 14) at the crease.
