Chasing a mammoth total of 412 runs, India A lost their opener Narayan Jagadeesan, who got out against spinner Todd Murphy after scoring 36 off 55.Sai Sudharsan walked into the middle at number three and joined Rahul, who was looking composed. Both batters stood at the crease and gave a tough time to Australia A bowlers.
Sudharsan departed after notching up 100 off 172 while KL Rahul hammered an unbeaten 176 runs from 210 balls to help India complete the chase on the final day. Rahul’s knock included 20 boundaries (16 fours and four maximums) and his sensational batting display also made him the player of the match (POTM) In his team’s five-wicket win. Captain Dhruv Jurel also looked confident with his bat and scored 56 runs off 66 deliveries.

The stunning performances from KL Rahul, Sai Sudharsan, and Dhruv Jurel will give cheers to the Team India management as Shubman Gill and men will take on West Indies and South Africa at home in the next couple of months. Rahul, Sudharsan, and Jurel are included in India's squad for the upcoming two Tests against the West Indies to be played between October 2 and 14.
The three players were also members of Team India, which levelled the series against England in the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy 2025. Rahul ended up as the third-leading run-getter in the tournament, notching up 532 runs with a couple of tons and two fifties in 10 innings of five matches.
