Rondo, the newest map in Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI), will replace Sanhok in the Grand Finals of the BGMI Showdown 2025. Notably, Rondo will officially be a part of PMGC 2025, and the BMSD 2025 champion
will qualify for that event. Initially, Rondo wasn’t included in the map pool, but Krafton has now added it for the finals, giving teams a crucial opportunity to practice and adapt to the new battleground.
Rondo replaces Sanhok at BMSD 2025 Grand Finals
The BMSD 2025 Grand Finals are scheduled to take place from October 10 to 12 at Tesseract Arena, Hyderabad. Now, Krafton India has replaced Sanhok with the new map Rondo for the finals. That means a total of six matches will be played on the Rondo map instead of Sanhok.
This is so crucial addition made by Krafton India Esports as Rondo is now officially added to the global esports circuit, and Indian teams have not played a single official match on this map.
Notably, the champion of the BGMI Showdown 2025 will qualify for the PMGC 2025, and the top 8 teams will advance to the BGMI International Cup 2025, where they will fight alongside top South Korean and Japanese teams for the two PMGC 2025 slots.
So this will be good practice for the Indian teams to get some playing experience on Rondo before going into the PMGC 2025.
The BMSD 2025 Grand Finals will take place from 10 to 12 October, featuring the top 16 teams from the league stage. These teams will compete in a total of 18 matches across Erangel, Miramar, and Rondo. The champion of the tournament will qualify for the PUBG Mobile Global Championship 2025, which is scheduled to be played from 24 November to 14 December in Thailand, featuring the top 40 teams from all around the world.
