India have announced themselves as the favourites to win theAsia Cup 2025 following two dominating victories back-to-back with a comfortable margin. The first one being against UAE in which India cleaned up the batting lineup of UAE for 57 runs and started the second innings with a bang finishing the match inside 6 overs and comfortably winning the match by 9 wickets.
In the second match, India took on their arch-rivals Pakistan in a match which was more controversial off the field considering the political factors. However, India had only one aim which was to win against Pakistan and achieved it in sensational fashion. The bowling lineup kept on taking consistent wickets and restricted them to a total of 127 runs which the Indian team, thanks
to magnificent innings from Suryakumar Yadav and Abhishek Sharma chased down comfortably. The main bowler of India, Jasprit Bumrah has been solid in both the matches but seems unlikely to play the next match.

According to latest reports, Bumrah could be rested for India’s last group stage game against Oman as the team are keen on having him fresh and ready to rock the boat in the Super four phase. Bumrah has been very economical throughout both the matches and has been at his usual consistent form. India will look to bank on him for the super-four which will give a chance to another bowler to prove himself in the final game against Oman.
He clinched a total of two wickets for just 28 runs against Pakistan, making it very difficult for the batsmen to get crucial runs on-board. Bumrah who is currently the fourth-highest wicket taker in T20 internationals will be looking to increase his count further during the tournament. Harshit Rana & Arshdeep Singh are the top contenders to earn Bumrah’s spot if he was not to play the final group stage game.
