In the final of the Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) 2025 at Thyagraj Sports Complex, Dabang Delhi stood tall against Puneri Paltan and clinched a 31-28 win. The match was interesting for avid Kabaddi fans as both
teams put up an intense fight to claim the contest. However, Delhi held their nerve and bagged the victory. Delhi's raiders Neeraj Narwal and Ajinkya Pawar stepped up on the huge occasion and racked up nine and six points respectively. Defenders Saurabh Nandal and Surjeet Singh also got two points each. Captain and raider Ashu Malik also racked up two points for his team.
Paltan, who came close to winning their second title, saw the valiant performance from raider Aditya Shinde. The Pune stalwart notched up 10 points and kept Paltan in the game until the last minute. However, his efforts couldn't take Pune home as Delhi ensured that the 2023/24 champions did not cross the line. Besides Shinde, raider Pankaj Mohite also delivered four points and defender Abinesh Nadarajan also bagged four points apiece. However, Paltan captain Aslam Inamdar couldn't do much as an all-rounder as he could chip in with in only one point.
Dabang Delhi won their second title
With this triumph, Dabang Delhi clinched their second PKL title. Delhi waited for three years to bag the trophy. Throughout the tournament, Delhi looked confident as they concluded the league round in the second position with 26 points earned through 13 wins and five losses in 18 games.
Following the game, Delhi players were seen in joy as Paltan stalwarts looked heartbroken as they missed the golden opportunity to win the title after two years. In the tournament, Patna Pirates Ayan Lohchab ended up as the most successful raider with 316 points in 22 matches while his teammate Navdeep also concluded the competition as the most successful defender with 73 tackle points in 21 outings.
