Prithvi Shawand Musheer Khan were seen communicating with each other after the game between Mumbai and Maharashtra in Gahunje. Prithvi and Musheer were involved in on-field spat which grabbed a lot of eyeballs. After dismissing Prithvi, Musheer gave a send-off to his ex-Mumbai teammate which irked the right-handed batter and he was seen getting involved in a heated exchange with the left-arm spinner. Umpires had to intervene to pacify the situation and Prithvi, who has been criticised for being indisciplined in the past, again got censured by his critics.
However, the matter has now settled as both young players have now reconciled with each other. In a viral video posted by the Maharashtra Cricket Association (MCA) on social media, both can
be seen having a healthy chat. As per reports, Shaw also apologised to Musheer Khan for the former’s behaviour for the incident that happened on the field. "Prithvi realised his mistake and approached Musheer and apologised to him. Prithvi told him that 'I am like an elder brother to you.' So all is well between the two," remarked a source to Times Of India.
The matter started settling on the third day of the match
Earlier, the matter between both started settling on the third day when Arshin Kulkarni got dismissed and Prithvi walked toward Musheer and put an arm around his shoulder. Musheer also replied to the kind act by placing his hand around Shaw’s waist. The warm gesture by both finally ended the controversy.
In the Ranji Trophy 2025/26, Prithvi will make his debut for Maharashtra against Kerala on October 15. His responsibility will be to deliver quality starts to the team. Last year, Shaw was dropped from Mumbai’s domestic team after failing to maintain his form and fitness. This year, he has strived to rejuvenate his career by joining Maharashtra.
