Pakistan file complaint over Team India’s handshake snub at Asia Cup 2025
The gesture from the Indian team has hogged limelight amid the ongoing protests and has become the talk of the town. As a result, the Salman Ali Agha-led side has filed a complaint with the Asian Cricket Council (ACC), expressing their displeasure of Indian players denying a customary handshake post-match.
In a statement issued late on Sunday, the Men in Green condemned their counterpart’s actions and have reported filed a complaint. As per a statement quoting an unnamed PCB official, “Team manager Naveed Cheema lodged a strong protest against Indian players’ behaviour of not shaking hands. It was deemed as unsporting and against the spirit of the game.”
It is to be noted that after reigning victorious against Pakistan, the Indian team made way to the dressing room, denying the post-match handshake. However, it was a unanimous decision by the Indian team, the members have remained tight-lipped over the same.
