India are taking on Pakistan for the second time in the ongoing Asia Cup 2025. Both the teams are currently locking horns in the Super 4s clash at Dubai International Stadium where India won the toss and asked Pakistan to bat first. For India, star all-rounder Hardik Pandyatook charge with the new ball as he came in to bowl the first over of the match. Like the previous game against Pakistan, Pandya was about to give a great start to India this time as well but missed the chance after a poor fielding show by Abhishek Sharma.
On the third ball of the first over of the match, Pakistani opener Sahibzada Farhan attempted to hit Hardik Pandya over mid-on but couldn’t time it well as Abhishek Sharma was in the position to take a comfortable catch.
However, the young India batter realised later that he had to lean forward to complete the catch and missed an easy chance to take a wicket as Pandya’s efforts’ went in vain.
Pakistan lost 1st wicket as Hardik Pandya struck to dismiss Fakhar Zaman
However, Hardik Pandya and the Indian team didn’t have to wait much to get their first wicket as the right-arm pacer in the third over to dismiss Fakhar Zaman. In the third ball of the third over of the innings, Pandya found the edge of Fakhar’s bat as Sanju Samson did no mistake in taking a catch behind the wickets. Pakistan lost their first wicket at the score of 21 runs in 2.3 overs.
