22-year-old Phoebe Litchfield turned out to be a star performer in the ongoing 2025 Women’s Cricket World Cup semi-final two between India Women and Australia Women at DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai.
The left-hander smashed 119(93) runs as Australia Women are heading towards a big total in a crucial knockout game. Coming to bat first after winning the toss, Australia Women didn’t get a good start as they lost first wicket at the score of 25 runs in 5.1 overs with Alyssa Healy scoring just five runs off 15 balls.
After that, Phoebe Litchfield and Ellyse Perry took charge of the innings as the duo put up a partnership of 155 runs for the second wicket. Litchfield completed her hundred in just 77 balls becoming the fastest centurion in the knockout match of a World Cup. She got out after scoring 119 runs off 93 balls hitting 17 fours and three sixes.

After Phoebe Litchfield’s dismissal, Beth Mooney joined Ellyse Perry at the crease as the duo added another 40 runs before the fall of the third wicket. Mooney got out after scoring 24 runs off 22 balls with three fours, while Perry scored 77 runs off 88 balls hitting six fours and two sixes.
Apart from that, Ashleigh Gardner also contributed with 63 runs off 45 balls hitting four fours and four sixes as Australia Women were bowled out for 338 runs in 49.5 overs. For India Women, Nallapureddy Charani and Deepti Sharma took two wickets each while Amanjot Kaur, Radha Yadav and Kranti Goud scalped a wicket each.
