India are currently taking on West Indies on day one of the second Test at Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. Batting first, India have posted 94/1 in the first session with Yashasvi Jaiswal and Sai Sudharsan
at the crease. However, ahead of the match, what caught the attention of the fans was reaction of Head Coach Gautam Gambhir after skipper Shubman Gillwon the toss.
Notably, since becoming the India’s Test captain, Shubman Gill wasn’t able to win a toss as he went on to win five tosses in a row during the England tour. Apart from that, Gill also lost the toss in the first Test against West Indies in Ahmedabad. However, before the start of the second Test against the Windies, Gill finally won his first Toss as Indian Test captain. After that, Gautam Gambhiralso shared a laugh along with Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Siraj and Axar Patel in the background as their captain finally broke the toss losing streak in Tests.
Yashasvi Jaiswal scored 13th Test 50 as India heading towards big total
Talking about the match, batting first, India got a good start as Yashasvi Jaiswal and KL Rahul put up an opening partnership of 58 runs in 17.3 overs. Rahul got out after scoring 38 runs off 54 balls hitting five fours and one six. However, Jaiswal is still at the crease as he completed his 13th Test fifty in 82 balls on day one.
Currently Jaiswal is taking the innings further with Sai Sudharsan as the duo added more than 50 runs for the second wicket. Jomel Warrican took the only wicket for West Indies so far. India are already 1-0 up in a two-match series after winning the first Test by an innings and 140 runs. Now, the hosts will be looking to make it 2-0 in Delhi while West Indies will be looking to deliver a miracle to level the series 1-1.
