Australia pacer Josh Hazlewood wants his team management to select as many as all-rounders in their playing XI during the Ashes series. Australia will be striving to retain the urn against England, who haven’t won the Ashes series since 2013. Hazlewood was a part of Australia’s T20I squad for the first two matches of the ongoing five-match series against India and before the Ashes series, he will be a part of New South Wales for the Sheffield Shield match against Victoria starting from November 10. The game against Victoria will be his last appearance before the iconic Test series to be played from November 21.
Recently, Hazlewood was queried about the importance of all-rounders for Australiain the Ashes. Responding to the question, the lanky
pacer said that all-rounders are essential for the Aussie team’s campaign. "First player picked [should be] an allrounder, I think," Hazlewood said after his player of the match effort on Friday, October 31, in the second T20I win against India in Melbourne.
"Going back to those 20-odd Test matches we played with no allrounder, they were hard yards. So if [they] can be in the team, be it bowling, [Ca Green] Greeny is obviously an outstanding player, Beau has done great for us whenever he's played. The more the merrier, I say. They can bowl as much as they want," added Hazlewood.

In the second T20I played between Australia and India in Melbourne, Josh Hazlewoodput up a solid show with the ball. In the Aussie team’s four-wicket win, he chipped in with 3/13 figures in his four-over spell and also got the Player of the Match (POTM) award.
Before The Ashes, Hazlewood’s form is a positive sign as the hosts will heavily rely on him and Mitchell Starc in the absence of captain Pat Cummins in the first Test to be played at the Optus Stadium from November 21.
