The ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025 has reached its final phase with the semi-finalists locked in. While the knockouts will commence from Wednesday, October 29 with second-placed England Women taking
on South Africa Women in Guwahati, in the second semi-final, defending champions Australia Women will lock horns with hosts India Women on October 30 in Navi Mumbai.
The home side however will be without their in-form batter and opener Pratika Rawal, who sustained an injury while fielding in final league stage fixture against Bangladesh Women, they have called in Shafali Verma as her replacement. On the other hand, the reigning champions have also been sweating on the fitness of their skipper Alyssa Healy, who suffered a minor calf strain and missed Australia’s match against Protean side.

But sources close to development have informed that Alyssa Healy has completed her fitness tests and was seen training hard in the nets ahead of the do-or-die fixture. The Aussie skipper participated in wicketkeeping drills before undertaking a full net session as she faced some big bowlers.
Notably, Alyssa Healy has been in red-hot form, having scored 294 runs from just four innings so far at an average of 98 and a strike rate of 131.25. She sits fourth in the list of highest run-getters after Smirit Mandhana (365), Pratika Rawal (308) and Laura Wolvaardt (301).
