United States (US) President, Donald Trump on Monday, November 17 hosted another meeting prior to the highly-anticipated FIFA World Cup, scheduled to be played next year across Canada, Mexico and the USA.
With the the FIFA World Cup 2026 draws set to be announced on December 5 at the Washington’s Kennedy Center, on Monday, November 17, the US President unveiled a FIFA Pass.
The US President, who was joined by the FIFA President Gianni Infantino at the Oval Office, announced the FIFA Pass, a system designed to help World Cup ticket holders secure faster visa appointments for travel to the United States in 2026. It aims at “prioritised appointments scheduling system” to ease bottlenecks for the global football events.

Speaking at the launch of the new initiative, FIFA President Gianni Infantino highlighted on ‘pass’. “If you have a ticket for the World Cup, you can have prioritized appointments to get your visa,” said Gianni Infantino. Turning to the U.S. President, he added, “You said it the very first time we met, Mr. President, America welcomes the world.”
While announcing the Prioritized Appointment Scheduling System, Trump noted that the State Department and the Department of Homeland Security have been working "tirelessly" to "ensure that soccer fans from all around the world are properly vetted and able to come to the United States next summer easily." "I’ve directed my administration to do everything within the power to make the 2026 World Cup an unprecedented success. I think it’s going to be the greatest, and we are setting records on ticket sales," Trump added.
According to Gianni Infantino, the FIFA World Cup is expected to attract over six billion viewers from worldwide and also expects over a billion people to watch the World Cup draw scheduled for next month.
