Team India was seen relishing the photoshoot for the upcoming T20I series against Australia. After losing the three-match ODI series 2-1 down under, the Men in Blue will square off against the home side
in the five-match T20I series to start on Wednesday, October 29. Abhishek Sharma, who became the player of the tournament in theAsia Cup 2025, was seen having fun with his old friend and opening ally Shubman Gill. In the series against Australia, the left-handed batter will be expected to wreak havoc on Aussie bowlers. It will also mark Abhishek’s maiden international series on Aussie soil and he will look to make it huge.
A couple of days ahead of the opening T20I, Abhishek and rest of his teammates was seen in a jovial mood at the pre-series photoshoot. The southpaw was also seen capturing a video which catches reactions from Shubman Gill and Rinku Singh. In the Behind The Scenes (BTS) video posted by BCCI on X, other players such as Arshdeep Singh, Tilak Varma, Suryakumar Yadav, Jasprit Bumrah, and Axar Patel were also seen having fun at each other's expense.

Team India will be looking to play a fierce brand of cricket in the five-match T20I series against Australia. In the Asia Cup 2025, the Suryakumar Yadav-led side looked extraordinary in all departments of the game and clinched their record-extending ninth title. However, the captain couldn’t deliver the desired results with the bat.
Playing seven matches, he could score 72 runs in six innings at an egregious strike rate of 101.40. The 35-year-old will strive to regain his form in the series against Australia. Besides Suryakumar, Shubman Gill also has to be solid with his bat as the 26-year-old could amass 127 runs in seven matches at an average of 21.16 in Asia Cup 2025.
