Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes has said that he is not willing to talk about his future at the club until the FIFA World Cup next year. With the game against Brighton on Saturday, Bruno will play
his 300th match for Manchester United in his illustrious career. Bruno Fernandes will look to help his club end the series of three consecutive defeats against Brighton at Old Trafford. Since January 2020, the star Portuguese has missed only 17 matches and among them, only three were due to injury or illnesses. However, last season, United struggled to get the best out of Bruno Fernandes and it impacted the club as they concluded their campaign in the 15th spot.\
This summer, the 31-year-old declined a massive offer from Saudi Pro Club’s Al-Hilal. However, rumours regarding his future in Manchester United didn’t go away. In the latest development, Bruno Fernandes issued a statement in which he said, "As I've always said, I feel good here. I want to achieve my dreams still. I can't talk for the club. I've seen a lot of people talking that I had an agreement to go already next season. If the club has done that agreement, it wasn't made with me. I haven't spoken with anyone. My agent also knows how I work. If he wants to talk to me, it will be after the World Cup. Until then, I won't speak to anyone."
Bruno Fernandes puts the team first at Manchester United
Following United’s win over Liverpool at Anfield, Bruno Fernandes was seen training in the rain. A source close to him quoted Fernandes as saying, "Obviously, I want people to say good things about me." He further added, "I would be lying if I say not. But I want the team achievements. That's missing in my time at United. I haven't been able to give the success this club wants and the success I wanted in my head when I signed. My individual performance will put me in some place, but not in the place I want to be."
United manager Ruben Amorim is relying on the Portuguese’s fierce personality to complete the desire to pull off the Premier League and Champions League titles in coming seasons.
