While the records are uncountable, Sachin Tendulkar remains the player with most runs in international cricket and first to cross the milestone of 30000 runs. The right-hander achieved this feat during a Test match against Sri Lanka in Ahmedabad on November 20, 2009.
Coming to bat on day one of the Test match, Sachin Tendulkar was 39 runs short of the milestone of 30000 international
runs. However, the right-hander couldn’t get a big score on board and lost his wicket after scoring a mere four runs. Thereafter, coming to bat in the second innings, Sachin Tendulkar was still 35-run short for the milestone of 30000 international runs. During the 44th over of the innings, Sachin took a single to become the first-ever player in the history to reach the milestone of 30000 runs in international cricket across all formats of the game. Along with this milestone, Sachin also brought up his 88th international hundred. The right-hander remained unbeaten on 100*(211) runs after Gautam Gambhir’s 114-run knock as India finished the final day on 412/4, leading the Test match to end in a draw.

During his playing days from 1989 to 2013, he featured in 200 Test matches, amassing 15921 runs at an average of 53.78. He also sits at the top of the list to have score most runs in Test cricket career.
Fastest to 15000 runs in Tests: The legendary batter is the only player to have scored the fastest 15000 runs in Test cricket. He reached the feat in November 2011 in a match against West Indies in the national capital (Delhi).
