Manchester United, who are arguably one of the biggest clubs in world football, have won a whopping 13 Premier League titles to become the most successful club in the English top flight. The Red Devils have a rich history of producing and creating footballing greats who have gone on to become the legends of the game. However, the Red Devils have massively fallen off in recent times in terms of on-field success, failing to win any Premier League titles since 2013.
Manchester United have fallen an all-time low this year, not qualifying for any European competition for the 2025-26 campaign. They have also been knocked out of the Carabao Cup in the second round by the fourth-division English team Grimsby Town on penalty shootouts. The Mancunian side
have also started this Premier League season on a negative note with two losses in four matches with the latest defeat coming against arch-rivals Manchester City 3-0. Despite all these nerve-wracking challenges, Manchester United have announced a record-revenue of £666.5 million achieved in the fiscal year 2025.
We are working hard to improve the club in all areas: Omar Berrada
The CEO of Manchester United, Omar Berrada spoke about the revenue story, and said, "To have generated record revenues during such a challenging year for the club demonstrates the resilience which is a hallmark of Manchester United. As we settle into the 2025-26 season, we are working hard to improve the club in all areas." He further added that United are "building for the long term" while not referring to the poor start they have had to the current season.
According to a research by Deloitte done in January, Manchester United are the fourth highest revenue-generating football club behind Real Madrid, Manchester City, and PSG. The five-year sponsorship deal with Snapdragon has generated a massive chunk of revenue worth £333.3 million. The matchday revenue also saw a record of £160.3 million. Manchester United are looking forward to increasing their performance level along with the revenue generation aspect as both ideally go hand-to-hand.
