Rohit's fans are eager to witness him serve India in the upcoming three-match ODI series to be played in Australia between October 19 and 25. His last appearance came almost seven months back when he guided India to a four-wicket win against New Zealand in the Champions Trophy 2025 final played in Dubai. In the crucial final, he hammered 76 off 83 and became the Player of the Match (POTM).
In the clip posted by CEAT's official Instagram handle, Rohit Sharma can be seen entering the event's venue where he is received by a person who shakes hands with the ex-India skipper. Rohit's wife Ritika also accompanied him. Besides Rohit, Shreyas Iyer, Varun Chakaravarthy, and Sanju Samson also recorded their presence at the event.
Rohit Sharma expected to deliver quality starts in Australia ODIs
In the upcoming ODIs against the Aussie side, Rohit will be expected to support captain Shubman Gill and deliver fine starts to the team. The veteran has played a lot of cricket in Aussie conditions and he can be lethal for Australia's bowling attack. He has played 30 matches Down Under, in which he amassed 1328 runs with five hundreds and four fifties.
After getting relieved from the captaincy role, his responsibility will be to play impactful knocks as an opener to make it into India's squad for the World Cup 2027.
