Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to host the Women’s National Cricket team after their historic win in the recently ended Women’s World Cup 2025. The Women in Blue led by Harmanpreet Kaur defeated
South Africa Women in the final DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai on November 2 to win their first-ever ICC title. After this historic win, the Indian Women’s has been getting lots of praise and appreciation from all over the world.
Between all this, India Prime Minister Narendra Modi also congratulated the Women in Blue for achieving the historic feat. “A spectacular win by the Indian team in the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025 Finals. Their performance in the final was marked by great skill and confidence. The team showed exceptional teamwork and tenacity throughout the tournament. Congratulations to our players. This historic win will motivate future champions to take up sports,” PM Modi wrote on his X. Now, as per the latest reports by Hindustan Times, the Indian PM will be hosting the Women’s team at his residence in New Delhi on November 5.

Narendra Modi also heaped praise on the Women’s team for their World Cup victory during his speech at the Emerging Science, Technology and Innovation Conclave (ESTIC) 2025. “Yesterday in Mumbai, India’s daughters created history. India has won the Women’s Cricket World Cup for the first time. After 25 years, the world has got a new world champion, and India’s daughters have given this pride to the entire nation. This victory isn’t just limited to the sports field. It’s also a symbol of India’s daughters’ newfound confidence,” Modi said.
“These are daughters from small villages and towns; these are daughters of our farmers, labourers, and lower middle-class families. I’m proud of them; the entire nation is proud. I also extend my heartfelt congratulations to the parents of these champion daughters,” the Indian PM further added.
