After this, the defending champions, Team India will once again lock horns with Pakistan on Sunday, September 21, bringing back the high-octane rivalry.
While the Men in Green will be coming into their fixture, hoping to avenge their recent defeat against India, the Indian side will be high on confidence, seeing them top the Group A standings with three wins on the trot. During the post-match presentation at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi, former India batter turned commentator Sanjay Manjrekar asked the Indian captain about the upcoming match, where they are scheduled to play Pakistan on Sunday, September 21. To this, the Indian batter quickly reply, “All set for Super Four”. While it remains unknown what could have been Suryakumar Yadav’s intention behind this, but it seemed that he avoided taking Pakistan’s name.
Apart from this, the India skipper also joked of his batting position which saw him demote to No. 11 to give some game time to players like Sanju Samson, Tilak Varma ahead of crucial Pakistan game.
