France forward Ousmane Dembele on Monday night lifted the Men’s Ballon d’Or title, surpassing the likes of Lamine Yamal, Kylian Mbappe. The French international, who was one of the last alongside Lamine Yamal, prevailed
in the end, adding to the long list of Ballon d’Or winners. The victory for Dembele comes after his significant role in domestic double, which included Ligue 1 and Coupe de France.
Furthermore, Dembele proved crucial in Paris Saint-Germain’s first UEFA Champions League title and the UEFA Super Cup. With this win, the 28-year-old became only the sixth Frenchman to win the prestigious title after Raymong Kopa (1958), Michel Platini (1983, 1984, 1985), Jean-Pierre Papin (1991), Zinedine Zidane (1998) and Karim Benzema (2022).
Aitana Bonmati lifts her third straight Ballon d’Or title
On the other hand, Barcelona midfielder Aitana Bonmati won her third consecutive Women’s Ballon d’Or. The Spain international played an integral role in Barcelona reaching the Women’s Champions League final, which they eventually lost 1-0 to Arsenal. With this, she became the first woman footballer to have three Ballon d’Or titles, winning in consecutive years in 2023, 2024 and 2025.
