The 2025 Brazilian Grand Prix is the first race this season, where thanks to Lando Norris's sensational performance at the sprint race, the noted or should one say, polarising British driver enters the main
race event with more points than his Aussie teammate driving in papaya-coloured machine. Having said that, Interlagos has seen neither of the two McLaren drivers on the top step of the podium thus far. McLaren have aced a track in an epic fashion, a circuit central to their days of the yore; the Senna-esque McLaren MP 4/4 during the late-80s (88 onwards) and the battles he valiantly drove to glory!
But today's a different day and age. This is Interlagos again sans Senna, Brazil's most loved son where it comes to Formula 1. So what can happen this time around. Dramatically, Verstappen starts from way back, 16th on the grid. More on the predictions on the 2025 Brazilian Grand Prix and why those predictions are there in the first place.
Lando Norris will not win the race
It seems highly likely especially given the fact that the star McLaren driver will take the race win. That's because he's on pole. Mr. Brown, must one ask that one isn't too off the mark in calling Lando that, right?
6 of his 10 career wins (so far) have happened this year. Moreover, the noted British driver, currently in the lead in the driver's championship will feel that his the great win for the taking, after all he's worked so hard for that pole, hasn't he? But later today, as one will likely find out, unless of course, predictions are taken to be absolutely incisive, Norris won't win the race.
Someone from the McLaren's behind will spring further to the scene of action and even Leclerc and Russell and say, Antonelli (with Russell being usurped by Kimi's phenomenal Q3 as seen yesterday) will contest strongly for track position.
Make no mistake, even Oscar Piastri will mount a strong charge and somewhere, the track no stranger to changing temperatures, inclement weather as seen in the past and forget not a combination of high speed and technical corners will not make McLaren's life easy. Norris deserves the world title just as much as Oscar Piastri.
Who is the fan to take sides and run riot with assumptions, narratives and theories to divide opinion on social media for it's the easiest thing for one to do. At the end of the day, the athlete contests with great might and patience. But at times, it is down to the exceedingly challenging stakes - rather what's at stake- that makes pressure take control of the driver.
This 'could happen' with Norris, who much like Piastri, his cool and calm teammate, cannot afford to put a step wrong.
Lewis Hamilton will demonstrate a great recovery drive
He won here in enormous pressure in 2021 to register a rip-roaring, emphatic and thrilling win. That is when he was so amid the great pressure exerting by a daunting Max Verstappen. And yet, Hamilton's remarkable success at the home race event of his racing idol, Ayrton Senna, will inspire, this time around as well, a great triumph. That, however, may not be a win, but will be a far better position as compared to his lowly Q3 result at Interlagos on Saturday.
When greats are challenged, they come out on top. The fan hopes that this happens with an unquestionable great of the sport.
Ferrari will have one car at the podium
None of his 8 race wins have come at Interlagos, home to the Brazilian Grand Prix. But interestingly, none of his 50 career podiums in motorsport's top fight, as F1 is called, have ever happened in Sao Paulo, home to Brazilian race. And 50 podiums is a milestone, isn't it? But Leclerc, who doesn't have one, as on date, would like to claim, now at Senna-land. Else, it would be lost, but won or something like it. Anyhow, it would be good contest provided Ferrari can make it into one. And could well be a thrilling race to follow and admire for today's Grand Prix, as many suggest, could have a thrilling outcome.
Lewis, too, would like to up his game, the way only he can but then will he end up on the podium? Who knows, but for sure, Ferrari are in a great position to enter the top three in today's contest and stay there. Depends which Ferrari driver will be up there, next to the race winner. Could be just 1 car.
