Ticket sales for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 will officially open today at 18:45 IST on the ICC’s official ticketing portal. In a major step towards making the tournament more accessible than ever,
the ICC has announced record-low entry-level ticket prices for fans across India and Sri Lanka.
In Phase I of ticket sales, prices start at just ₹100 (approx. $1.11) in India and LKR 1000 (approx. $3.26) in Sri Lanka—marking the most affordable starting prices in the history of ICC events. The initiative aims to ensure that more fans, from all walks of life, get the chance to experience a World Cup match live in the stadium.
Co-hosted by India and Sri Lanka, the landmark 10th edition of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup will be played across eight premier venues from 7 February to 8 March 2026.
The action-packed opening day will feature:
- Pakistan vs Netherlands in Colombo
- West Indies vs Bangladesh in Kolkata
- India vs USA in Mumbai
With more than 2 million tickets going on sale, the ICC aims to “democratize the in-stadia experience” and remove affordability as a barrier for cricket lovers.

ICC CEO Sanjog Gupta called the opening of Phase I ticket sales a significant milestone in delivering the “most accessible and global ICC event ever staged.”
He said: “Our vision is simple — every fan, regardless of geography or financial means, should have the opportunity to witness world-class cricket live in a stadium. With tickets starting at just ₹100 and LKR1000, affordability sits at the heart of our approach. This is about opening the gates wide and inviting millions to be part of a global celebration—not from afar, but from the stands, where the energy and magic are unmatched.”
Gupta added that the 2026 edition, featuring 20 teams and 55 matches, will be the most ambitious and inclusive T20 World Cup in history, setting new standards for both cricket quality and fan experience.
