The Indian women’s cricket team is still in the celebration mode after they lifted their maiden Women’s Cricket World Cup title, beating South Africa Women in the final on November 2 in Navi Mumbai. As informed, the victory came after a rigorous plan and multiple bilateral assignments to prepare the side in the 50-over format ahead of the CWC 2025.
While the trophy is finally home, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is mulling to put in more efforts for the Women in Blue, who will now prepare for the T20 World Cup. Amidst this, recent reports have revealed that the women’s team is set to get its first foreign strength and conditioning coach in the near future.

According sources close to the developments in the BCCI, Bangladesh men’s
cricket team’s strength and conditioning coach, Nathan Kiely is currently in talks with the Indian board is set to join the Centre of Execellence in Bengaluru. However, Al Harrsha currently serves in the role, but the BCCI is looking for a different role for him with expanding structure.
According to a report citing India Today, Nathan Kiely brings a wealth of experience to the table, having worked with the Bangladesh team and previously having served as the assistant coach of New South Wales. If the reports are to be believed, he will become the first-ever overseas fitness expert in the Indian women’s setup.
