The Indian men’s cricket team is currently hosting South Africa in a multi-format series, comprising of two Test matches, three ODIs and as many as five T20Is. The tour began on Friday, November 14 with
the first Test in Eden Gardens, Kolkata. With the opening match of the series done in less than three days, South Africa lead the two-match Test series by 1-0 margin.
While the Kolkata Test defeat has left several questions to the Indian team management, especially after seeing the Men in Blue once again fall victim to the spin attack as Simon Harmer bagged the Player of the Match award for his 8/51 figures across the two innings.
Team India to leave for Guwahati on November 19 ahead of second Test: Reports
With the next Test scheduled to be played November 22 to 26 at the Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati, the Men in Blue will have to address several issues. While they will be hoping to get their skipper Shubman Gill fit for the second Test, playing combination also remains one of the key talking points which need to be addressed.
While all this stands at one place, the Indian team is set to continue to train in Kolkata before flying to Guwahati on Wednesday, November 19. According to reports citing ESPNcricinfo, the Indian team will have their first training session in Tuesday at Eden Gardens. Following that, the team will travel to Guwahati on Wednesday. Furthermore, the reports state that Shubman Gill will not be part of the training session and will also not fly with the team to Guwahati.
