Pakistan batter Babar Azam was seen bringing in hilarious celebration with spinner Sajid Khan after South African captain Aiden Markram got out on 32 runs on day two of the second Test match in Rawalpindi.
After Pakistan bowled out for 333 runs in the first innings, South Africa were looking to good touch with Markram giving a good start to his team.
However, while batting on 32 runs, Markram fell into the trap of Sajid Khan and Saud Shakeel made no mistake in taking an easy catch at long-on. After the wicket was taken, Babar Azam was playfully seen tapping on Sajid’s head while celebrating the dismissal.
South Africa take lead of 71 runs in first innings
Talking about the match, Pakistan were bowled out for 333 runs in the first innings, with skipper Shan Masood top scoring with 87(176) runs while Saud Shakeel scored 66(147) runs. For South Africa, Keshav Maharaj shone with figures of 7/102. Apart from that, Simon Harmer took two wickets while Kagiso Rabada put one in his bag. In reply, the Proteas ended up posting 404 runs, taking a lead of 71 runs in the first innings. For South Africa, Senuran Muthusamy turned out to be a top scorer with 89 runs off 155 balls hitting eight boundaries.
Apart from that, Tristan Stubbs contributed with 76(205) runs while Tony de Zorzi scored 55 runs off 93 balls. Kagiso Rabada also stunned everyone with his knock of 71(61) runs. For Pakistan, Asif Afridi registered a six-wicket haul by conceding 79 runs, while Noman Ali took two wickets and Sajid Khan and Shaheen Afridi scalped a wicket each. Coming to bat in the second innings, Pakistan have lost three wickets so far under 100 runs on day three and Saud Shakeel and Babar Azam are taking the innings further.
