United States of America have announced their squad for the upcoming 2026 WT20 which is set to be played in India and Sri Lanka. Monank Patel will captain the side and they have retained 10 out of the 15 players that featured in the previous T20WC. The biggest absence for USA will be Aaron Jones who was recently suspended by the ICC on the charges of match fixing. Aaron Jones has featured in 48 T20 internationals for the United States, scoring 770 runs at a strike rate of 114.58, and his absence will be felt. Indian born Shubham Ranjane has also been picked up in the squad and is likely to make his T20I debut in this tournament.
Another notable inclusion is former Sri Lankan cricketer Shehan Jayasuriya. Shehan has represented Sri Lanka in the past
and is set to make his USA debut in this format. They have a balanced squad and will be hoping to have a good tournament. USA were excellent in 2024 WT20 where they beat Pakistan and few others to qualify for Super 8 stage.
Pacer Saurabh Netravalkar will spearhead the pace bowling attack and he will be looking forward to playing in India. Saurabh has represented India at the U19 level before moving to USA. They have a strong core of batters and with Andries Gous, Shehan Jayasuriya, Milind Kumar, Shayan Jahangir, Saiteja Mukkamala, Sanjay Krishnamurthi there is a lot of depth in the batting department.
