Bayern Munich legend Jerome Boateng is all gearing to take an internship for coaching with Bavarians manager Vincent Kompany. A few weeks back, Boateng announced retirement from football after playing the sport for 37 years. Boateng had a conversation and has confirmed his move to join the club in order to get first-hand experience while allying with top stars as a coach. After bringing down the curtain on his playing career, Boateng appeared in an interview with Bild and revealed that he has completed his UEFA B as he is looking to start his coaching career.
Boateng played a lot of football with Kompany as the two were teammates in Hamburg and Manchester City. Kompany is currently delivering his services as head coach to Bavarians. In the chat
with Bild, Boateng said, "I successfully completed the training course and the B license exam. I now want to complete a few internships by January. I've already spoken with [Kompany]. I can do an internship at Bayern, and I'm really looking forward to it. We just need to find the right time."

Boateng played for Bayern Munich for 10 years and during this period, he played with distinguished figures such as Thomas Muller, Philipp Lahm, Manuel Neuer and others. With the club, he also bagged two Champions League titles, two UEFA Super Cups, two Club World Cups, five DFB-Pokal titles, five DFL-Supercups and a staggering nine Bundesliga titles.
This year, Boateng kicked off his coaching career between April and August. He worked as the assistant to Andreas Wieland for the LASK reserve team. Under Kompany, he will look to hone his coaching skills.
