The Indian cricket team is currently touring Australia for a white-ball series comprising of three ODIs and five T20Is. However, the Men in Blue went down in the ODI series by 1-2 margin, the five-match T20I series is currently levelled at 1-1 after Suryakumar Yadav-led side registered a five-wicket win at the Bellerive Oval in Hobart on Sunday, November 2.
From hereon, the T20 World Champions will aim to get a win in the remaining two matches, scheduled to be played on November 6 and 8 in Goald Coast and Brisbane respectively. As the action now moves to the Bill Pippen Oval in Gold Coast, the Australian side has further seen some changes in their squad.
Travis Head, Tanveer Sangha and Sean Abbott released from T20I squad; Ben Dwarshuis join in
With Aussie opener Travis Head initially mulling to withdraw from the final two matches, he has
finally been released from the squad to play for his state team in the fourth round of Sheffield Shield, which is set to begin next Monday. This give provide him with the key preparations for the highly-anticipated Ashes series, starting Noveber 21 in Perth. Moreover, Tanveer Sangha and Sean Abott were also released from the side whereas Ben Dwarshuis joined in for the remainder of the series.
With this, Head joins Mitchell Starc and Josh Hazlewood, who had earlier left the series to prepare for the Ashes. Both Starc and Hazlewood are set to play for New South Wales against Victoria.
