Lionel Messi to come to Hyderabad in his ‘GOAT Tour to India 2025’

Lionel Messi’s much awaited GOAT Tour to India 2025 has now been expanded to the city of Hyderabad. The decision came after the Kochi leg got cancelled as the organisers didn’t want the southern region

of the country to miss out on an action. With the addition of Hyderabad. Messi’s tour will now span into four regions in India including Kolkata (east), Hyderabad (south), Mumbai (west) and New Delhi (north) — making it one of the most extensive held in the country.

Satadru Datta, who is sole organiser of the event said that they want to cover every part of India and they will now achieve this with the addition of Hyderabad. “Now we are covering the south also. This will be a tribute to millions of football fans in South India,” Datta was quoted as saying by India Today.

“With this, every part of India is covered. West is covered through Mumbai, east through Kolkata, north through Delhi. There is a huge Messi fan base in Chennai, Kerala and Hyderabad.” he further added.

Lionel Messi to arrive in India around December 12-13

According to Satadru Datta, Lionel Messi will land in India by midnight in December 12 or early December 13. The tour will begin in Kolkata on December 13, followed by Hyderabad on the same day. After that, Messi will go to Mumbai on December and the tour is scheduled to be concluded in New Delhi on December 15. Notably, Messi is also expected to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the National capital.

“It will be an extension of the GOAT Cup as there will be a celebrity match, football clinic, felicitation, musical programme. All the superstars of south will be in attendance,” Dutta said. It’s going to be huge. The energy in Hyderabad is special, and with all the southern stars coming together, it will be one of the most memorable legs of the tour,” he further added.
