The five-time champions Chennai Super Kings (CSK) had a disappointing outing in IPL (indian Premier League) 2025. For the first time in the history of the tournament, CSK finished in 10th place with just
four wins in 14 league matches. Now, they will be looking to form a balanced squad in the upcoming IPL mini auction and win their sixth title in the 19th edition in 2026.
For that, CSK will also look to release some of the star players ahead of the IPL 2026 mini-auction. As reported by Cricbuzz, CSK are likely to release five players from their squad including Deepak Hooda, Vijay Shankar, Rahul Tripathi, Sam Curran, and Devon Conway ahead of the upcoming auction. CSK have already INR 9.75 Crore in their purse after Ravichandran Ashwin’s retirement and after releasing these players, they can have a good budget coming to the mini-auction.
