With Team India claiming the two-match Test series against West Indies on Tuesday, October 14, the action will now shift towards the upcoming white-ball series against Australia, scheduled to be played
from October 19 till November 8. The series comprises of three ODIs, which will be played from October 19 to October 25, followed by five T20Is, which will kickstart from October 29.
However, the series proves crucial as the Indian team begins their preparations for the T20 World Cup, set to be played in February-March 2026 across India and Sri Lanka, it is even more important as it sees the return of two veterans of the game - Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli, who remain only active in ODI format.

With the highly-anticipated return, former India skipper and batting stalwart Virat Kohli on Tuesday, October 14 landed in the national capital. Kohli, who site never goes out missing, was spotted leaving the New Delhi airport, acing his fashion statement with a black shirt and white trousers.
If reports are to be believed, Rohit Sharma and Shreyas Iyer have already reached Delhi and will join the Indian team in Delhi before leaving for Perth ahead of the series. Moreover, several reports have claimed that the Indian team will leave in two batches from October 15.
