In the 12th match of the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup (CWC) 2025, which is currently underway at the R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo, England captain Nat Sciver-Brunt scored her 10th Women’s One Day International (WODI) hundred against Sri Lanka. The right-handed batter brought up the milestone in the 49th over of the England innings by hitting a six on the bowling of left-arm spinner Sugandika Kumari, to also get the fifth hundred in World Cup cricket.
Nat Sciver-Brunt ended up scoring 117 off 117 with nine fours and two sixes, to play a key role in helping England reach 253/9 after getting dismissed in the last over of the innings to left-arm pacer Udeshika Prabhodani. She batted for more than 40 overs of England innings, sharing a 60-run stand
for the third wicket with Heather Knight before holding her end up as wickets fell at regular intervals at the other end.

Just before she lost her wicket to Udeshika Prabhodani, she put the foot on the accelerator, hitting three fours in a row to push England past 250-run total, which has proven to be very competitive in the ongoing ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025. In the pursuit of the 254-run target, Sri Lanka have suffered a major blow as their captain Chamari Athapaththu had to retire hurt in the sixth over after suffering a hamstring injury apparently.
As of this writing, the home team have reached 26/0 in seven overs with Hasini Perera and Vishmi Gunaratne at the crease.
