Cup 2025 win, the Men in Blue decimated the Windies side withing three days to register a win by an inning and 140 runs to go 1-0 up in the two-match series.
While the victory came earlier than expected after the visiting team completely failed to put up a fight across departments, it was complete opposite for the home side, who began their home Test season with a win. Soon after the massive win, star Indian pacer Jasprit Bumrah was seen taking a subtle jibe at Mohammed Siraj.

After finishing with three wickets in the first Test, all of which came in the first West Indies inning, Bumrah took to social media to take a playful dig at his teammate Mohammed Siraj. “@Mohammedsirajofficial (fire emojis) bayki sab fake hai thik hai,” he wrote on his Instagram story with Siraj’s picture. While the post quickly went viral, fans were quick to relate it to the Indian pacer’s famous clip from years ago where he had said, “@Mohammedsirajofficial if is real, everything else is fake.”
This credit from a senior veteran came after Siraj played a key role in India’s win. The Hyderabad-born returned with figures of 4/40 in the first innings and 3/31 in the second innings.
Apart from Siraj’s bowling effort, Ravindra Jadeja’s all-round effort was one to reckon where he scored an unbeaten 104 with the bat and returned with figures of 4/54 in the second West Indies innings.
