Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) have announced key additions to their support staff ahead of the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) season. Former New Zealand captain Kane Williamson has
joined the franchise as Strategic Advisor, while Carl Daniel Crowe, a reputed English county cricketer, has been appointed as the Spin Bowling Coach.
Both Williamson and Crowe will work closely with Head Coach Justin Langer and Bowling Coach Bharat Arun to further strengthen the team’s preparation and performance in the forthcoming season.
The 35-year-old Williamson, who continues to play international cricket and over his illustrious career, he has amassed 9,276 runs in 105 Tests with 33 centuries and 37 half-centuries, and 7,235 runs in 173 ODIs at an impressive average of 49.2 and strike rate of 81.7, including 15 centuries and 47 fifties. In 93 T20 Internationals, he has scored 2,575 runs at a strike rate of 123.1, featuring 18 half-centuries.
Carl Crowe, who has played 42 first-class matches with 695 runs and 60 wickets, joins LSG after a successful stint with Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). Known for his expertise in spin bowling, Crowe’s addition is expected to significantly enhance the performance of LSG’s spin unit.
With these experienced professionals on board, Lucknow Super Giants aim to continue building a strong, balanced, and competitive side for the upcoming IPL season.
