With the talks around the next edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) intensifying, in a big development, it is being reported that the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) are also mulling to make some changes
in their setup. According to recent reports, the RP Sanjiv Goenka Group is looking to bring in some massive changes in the coaching staff ahead of the next edition after they underwent managerial changes recently.
It is to be noted that former Indian cricketer Zaheer Khan also reportedly parted ways with the Lucknow-based franchise as serving them as mentor in IPL 2025. However, LSG haven’t officially communicated about this decision, but are looking for a mentor and bowling coach.

But reports citing InsideSport have informed that team owner Sanjiv Goenka is in talks with the former Indian cricketer and World Cup winner Yuvraj Singh to replace Justin Langar as LSG’s head coach in IPL 2026. If this happens, Yuvraj Singh will begin his first-ever coaching stint in the IPL after previously featuring in the IPL in 11 years.
Prior to this, the former India all-rounder has served as mentor of Abu Dhabi T10 league, while he hasn’t ever coached. This step from Sanjiv Goenka comes after Singh came into limelight after the World Cup winner training star players Shubman Gill and Abhishek Sharma.
